The Félix locksmith shop was opened in Portes-lès-Valence (France)

The company Félix père & fils was founded and the workshop in Étoile-sur-Rhône (France) was opened
The company specialised in ironmongery and aluminium joinery and served a local customer base
1981
La Poste (French postal service) issued a new standard for letter boxes. The company used this opportunity to begin producing apartment letterboxes for social housing organisations
The Cibox brand was founded and was derived from the term "Cidex"
Change of management from Raymond to Claude Félix, 2nd generation of the Félix family
1990
Increasing demand for the company’s letter boxes meant it needed to acquire a second building in France (Ardèche)
The 3rd generation of the Félix family joined the company with Sébastien Félix

Cibox launched its metal apartment building entrance doors with electromagnetic locking systems, never seen before on the French market
